against morality or law, e.g., a series of scandalous liaisons.

We’ve domesticated Jesus and too often usurped his message of “God’s kingdom drawing near” in order to build and preserve the empires of self, ego, privilege and power.   We pray and think and sing a whole lot about and to Jesus, but who is Jesus?  What was the essence of his message?  What does he have to say to us today?

Revisit the scandalous life, ministry, words and practices of Jesus; Explore the table-turning, boundary-breaking WAY of loving God, neighbor, enemy and self more fully; and Ask: “is it time our lives, community, and ministry became Scandalous as well?”
